(It's 1:30 am, I can't sleep, and I'm bored. So I typed this)
So later this month, GameStop is having this 50% extra trade-in credit event. Thanks to a previous purchase I made (The Elder Scrolls Oblivion), I was not only informed about this event, but also given the all important coupon so I could participate in said event. Just today I went to GameStop to ask, A; Is there a minimum of games I can trade with this coupon?, and, B; How much will I get with these games? (I had a few for a price check)
To answer the first question, he said "no". I can trade as many games as I want as long as I have the coupon. And in answer to my second question, with the games I gave him when put towards the promotion, I'll be getting.....$260! The games I gave him are The Last of Us ($60 retail), Pikmin 3 ($60 retail), LoZ Skyward Sword ($50 retail) & Twilight Princess ($20 retail), and Pokemon White, White 2, Black 2, Platinum, and Soul Silver (All $35 retail). After doing further math, I found out I'll be getting more of the amount if I bought all the games retail, which would come out to $245 (retail total). I left tLoU and Pikmin 3 out of that equation since they were technically free. No use in complaining about the value of something that was free when you got it for free XD.
When I got home I quickly traded any important Pokemon of mine to X. Now I can add Heartgold and Black to the stash. As well as Fire Emblem Awakening, Animal Crossing New Leaf, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Game and Wario, and Super Mario All-Stars. And thanks to my Power-Up rewards, I was able to renew my Power-Up Pro membership for free. Plus, I'll get an extra 10% extra credit for each game during the promotion. I'm looking at over $300 in in-store credit! Maybe more!
I'll be getting free new games forever!!!!
Or at least for the rest of the year
